Trot Set Timer is a workout interval timer for horse riders, designed to work entirely on your device. This policy explains what that means for your privacy.

The short version

Trot Set Timer does not collect, transmit, or share any of your data. There are no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, and no servers. Everything you create in the app stays on your phone.

What the app stores, and where

The workouts you build, the horses you add, and the history of sessions you complete (including any notes) are saved in a database on your device only. This information never leaves your phone and is never sent to us or to any third party.

Because this data lives on your device, it is covered by your device's own backups. If you back up your phone (for example, to iCloud or a computer), your app data may be included in that backup according to your device settings. That backup is controlled by you and your device provider, not by Trot Set Timer.

Horse photos

You can add a photo to each horse. When you do, iOS's photo picker hands the app only the single image you selected — the app never has access to your photo library, and it does not ask for permission to browse it. The image is copied, resized smaller, and saved on your device alongside your other app data. It is never uploaded. Removing the photo, deleting the horse, or deleting the app removes the copy.

What the app does not do

No personal information is requested or collected.
No location, contacts, health, or fitness data is accessed.
No usage analytics or crash tracking is performed.
No data is sold or shared with anyone.
No advertising or third-party trackers are included.

Apple provides app developers with aggregate statistics — such as how many people installed the app, and anonymous crash reports — for users who have chosen to share analytics with developers in their device settings. That information comes from Apple rather than from the app, is not linked to you by us, and is not combined with anything else. You control it in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.

Audio and speech

The app plays spoken cues (for example, "trot" or "canter") through your device's built-in text-to-speech, and plays a silent audio track so cues can continue while your screen is locked. This audio is generated on your device. The app does not use the microphone and does not record anything.

Deleting your data

You can remove all app data at any time by deleting the app from your device. Uninstalling removes the on-device database and everything in it.

Children

The app does not collect any information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this page with a new "last updated" date.
